 Modeling History
Modeling History

Modeling is the employment of a person for the purpose of promoting or displaying fashion, products or advertisements or for the purpose of an artistic or sexual nature. It is not possible to locate a specific time in history when modelling started.  We know the Ancient Greeks, Romans and Egyptians all used models in the production of artistic sculptures and artwork.  We also know as far back as stone-age there were crave drawings involving nude subjects; perhaps prehistoric model shoots.

Below are a range of articles which provide a historic background on modelling and the advances made so that the industry we know today could exist.
