The Model Industry Union celebrates the very best of the year’s talent at both amateur and professional levels. You may nominate yourself or any other person for consideration for an award. Please give us as much detail as possible as to why you believe they or yourself should be considered. Nominations are open year round, cut-off for each year is 30th November.
Awards will be presented on 30th December 2010. The 2010 Model award categories are:
Professional Model of the Year Award

The Institute of Modeling's Professional Model of the year award is open to all models, regardless of race, gender, sexual preference, religion, marital status or history. The award celebrates the very best of the years professional models. Before submitting a nomination for yourself or someone else, please ensure that they meet the criteria, failure to ensure that they meet the criteria may result in your nomination not being accepted.
Criteria
Aged: 16 – 34 Gender: Male or Female Status: Professional Model (full-time model either freelance or via an agency)
Award Process
The scoring will be based on;
25% of award from professional nominations (Photographers, MUA’s, agents etc) 75% of the award from our panel of industry experts

Semi-Professional Model of the Year Award

The Institute of Modeling's Semi-Professional Model of the year award is open to all models, regardless of race, gender, sexual preference, religion, marital status or history. The award celebrates the very best of the years semi-pro models. Before submitting a nomination for yourself or someone else, please ensure that they meet the criteria, failure to ensure that they meet the criteria may result in your nomination not being accepted.
Criteria
Aged: 16 – 34 Gender: Male or Female Status: Semi-professional (part-time model either freelance or via an agency paid and TFP shoots)
Award Process
The scoring will be based on;
25% of award from professional nominations (Photographers, MUA’s, agents etc) 75% of the award from our panel of industry experts

Amateur Model of the Year Award

Aged: 16 – 34 Gender: Male or Female Status: Amateur (no experience except TFP or portfolio shoots)

Photographer of the Year Award

The Institute of Modeling's Photographer of the year award is open to all photographers, regardless of gender, race, sexual reference, religion, age, marital status or history. The award celebrates the very best of the years photographers. Before submitting a nomination for yourself or someone else, please ensure that they meet the criteria, failure to ensure that they meet the criteria may result in your nomination not being accepted.
The panel will be looking at 1-2 of the nominee’s best pieces that show off your talent and ability to use the model, lighting, setting and editing to the highest standards.
