Who are we?
This is a private site (not government run and we are not a modelling agency, so we don't have a vested interest of any kind). This site has been set up to make life easier for photographic models and to make life more difficult for the conmen, scam artists and timewasters who try to rip off models.

Modelling is a great way of earning money, meeting new people, gaining more self confidence and travelling to new places - but it has its downside too! The downside is that there are a lot of dodgy model agencies, and a few dodgy photographers too, who see new models as victims who they can separate from their money or their clothes. Fortunately, these scam artists and perverts are fairly easy to spot - but only once you know what to look for.

Don't get the idea, after reading all the warnings on our site, that the modelling scene is totally corrupt and dishonest, because it's not. Basically there are 3 reasons why so many people fall victim:

• Most would-be models are young and find it hard to spot the crooks
• People believe the lies because they want to believe them
• The rogues are easier to find, because they advertise (most genuine agencies don't advertise)

This site tells you everything you need to know. Knowedge is power, and by reading through the info on this site you'll understand the modelling scene and you'll be able to make a start with your modelling career.

Remember though, that although we can give you useful advice, only YOU can make decisions and your financial and personal safety is your own responsibility.
